If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude
— Maya Angelou
In my many years as a mental health specialist, I have guided people through the most complicated of life chapters. As a 30+ years trained LCSW, I have cultivated a unique and comfortable approach to help you gain insight, overcome obstacles and transform your life. I use many supportive therapies starting with an attuned empathetic ear and Motivational Interviewing, and embracing stress reduction through Mindfulness, Wellness habits, Breathwork, Ecopsychology.
The difference between Coaching and Therapy is that I am not here to diagnose or treat a mental disorder. We will not spend sessions looking backwards. We are here to look forward, and relieve you from your present challenges and obstacles. We can embrace and explore a more peaceful path that can help you grow. Coaching does not ignore your feeling of stress or sadness, but will seek how to navigate, cope and take action! You and I will get to determine how many sessions we have, the amount of time we spend in a session, and how, when, where or why we conduct our work together. At the present time I am only doing one on one sessions online, but I look forward to doing group sessions in the future.
